Corporate design

A corporate design (CD) is an essential component of a company’s corporate identity (CI) and comprises the visual design and uniform presentation of a company or brand. The aim of corporate design is to create a consistent and recognizable appearance that conveys the company’s image and values to the outside world. It contributes to the creation of a professional and memorable image and strengthens the brand identity.

A corporate design consists of several elements:

1. logo

The central graphic sign or symbol that represents the company. It is often the most recognizable element of the corporate design.

2. typography

The selection and use of specific fonts and font sizes that are used consistently in all communication materials.

3. color palette

A defined selection of colors used in all of the company’s visual materials. These colors should reflect the brand values and personality.

4. design guidelines

Documented guidelines that ensure the correct use of logo, typography, colors and other design elements. These guidelines help to ensure a consistent look and feel across all communication channels.

5. visual language

The style and type of imagery used by the company, including photography, illustrations and icons. This helps to create visual consistency and support the brand message.

6. design elements

Additional graphic elements such as lines, patterns or shapes used in the design of materials to enrich and unify the visual appearance.

A well-designed corporate design helps to strengthen trust and recognition among customers and business partners. It ensures that all visual aspects of communication – from business cards and stationery to brochures, advertising materials and digital media such as websites and social media profiles – look consistent and professional.
